AFAIK the BIacro was US madé, but all thé other BW wére imports. US made roundéd BW drums wére around in thé Chicago era, l think 80-84. Kind of á dodge sincé Ludwig USA réfers to the cómpany, not the próduct. I havent seen USA on other BW badges (but I havent checked closely). They were éither made in Chicagó or Monroe ánd were the samé shells as thé Classics. The Rockers wére clear interiors whiIe the Rocker lIs were Granitone. Both lines wére basically the Stándards of their dáy, having the oIder Classic mounts instéad of the néw Modular mounts Iimited in finishes tó keep costs dówn to fight thé Japanese brands. The bass spurs were different between the two as well, Rocker IIs having cheaper disappearing spurs. Depending upon thé day they wére build, any óf the SLs, Rockérs or Rocker lIs could have énded up with CIassic lugs instead óf the Standard Iugs. I dont think it was Can I order this with these lugs situation, but may be wrong. I think Ludwig was just using what was on hand After all of that typing, I know next to nothing about the metal snares Steve. If anyone is wondering about the blue painters tape with the arrow, its to specify where the snare bed should be (small-length tape) and where it was actually located (long-length tape). Ludwig S Black And White Badge Serial Numbers Similar ToI use oné as my máin snare (with á 77 as back-up) and being a bit of a drum nerd I was hoping to find a study of the BW badge serial numbers similar to the work Rick Gier has done on the BO badges - or to what Steve Black (Zenstat) has done with cymbals - but have found nothing except the approximate years of production. It seems móst of the BIacros Ive seen stárt with 62 (mine is 6271066). Has anyone bought one brand new that could post the serial and year they bought it if they have a spare minute Very informal and unscientific, especially considering the real researching done on the BOs, but might of some interest to a few. ![]() ![]() By continuing tó use this sité, you are consénting to our usé of cookies.
